Paris Masters: Alexander Zverev Denis Rafael Nadal Final Appearance
Rafael Nadal could not advance to the final of the Paris Masters after being stopped by German contender Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals.
The world number two was bidding for his second final appearance but was routed by the German, who served 13 aces en route victory in straight sets by 6-4 7-5 in one hour and forty minutes.
Nadal, who equaled Roger Federer's previous record of 30 Grand Slam at the French Open, conceded a breakpoint to the world number to take a 6-5 lead in the second set and hit a forehand shot wide to lost the match. The defeat was the one-time finalist's second consecutive ATP Tour defeat to Zverev.
