Mike Tyson Draws Against Roy Jones In Comeback Fight
The highly-anticipated Mike Tyson's comeback fight ended in a draw against Roy Jones as judges ruled a combine-points of 105 for both fighters.
As would be expected of Mike, he came all out for the offensive against Jones, who avoided his heavy-landing punching until the eighth round when the fight was over. Both former heavyweight champions sustained no injuries throughout..
When asked about the result, the 54-year-old gladly replied: "I'm good with a draw, because I entertained the crowd, the crowd was happy with it."
"This is bigger than championships, we are humanitarians, we are helping people. I'm happy I got this under the belt and I'll continue to go further and do more"
However, there were moments Jones landed some punches on Mike, but he soon recoiled to his initial strategy of clinching which he did for most of the fight.
Jones has reasons for not engaging Mike in a serious exchange of punches, however, he admitted having a draw is something he is very much pleased with. The former four-weight world champion said: "I don't do draws but the dude is so strong, man. When he hits you, he head, his punches, his body shots, everything hurts. I'm cool with the draw."
