Manchester United Make Formal Offer For Cristiano Ronaldo
Manchester United are reportedly back in the market hunting for their former striker Cristiano Ronaldo as Juventus are understood to be planning to slash the player's annual wages.
Ronaldo is one of the world's highest-paid sportsmen with a staggering annual salary of £28million, which has become a thorn in the flesh for Juventus. But United saw that as an opportunity to resign the Portuguese and have reportedly made a former offer to his agent Jorge Mendes.
Though United have been hit by the coronavirus pandemic, they are yet keen on bringing the player back to Old Trafford. However, Ronaldo is not alone in the club's priority as Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is also linked to the club for signing.
Amidst links to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest and are reportedly ready to do a swap deal with Neymar Jr, and that might come at a much bigger price for Juventus to accommodate.
Neymar currently earns more than Ronaldo, thus swapping for Ronaldo could mean incurring a much bigger salary than they hope to get rid of for Juventus.
