Gerard Butler To Reprise Role In 'Fallen' Fourth Entry

 


Gerard Butler has the call up to reprise his role as Mike Banning in Night Has Fall in the fourth entry of Millennium Media franchise Fallen, which is set to begin filming by next year. Butler has helmed the lead role through all the three past entry which has been successful for the studio. 

Fallen made its debut in 2013 with Olympus Has Fallen in which Banning attempted interception an attack on the White House. The entry recorded a good performance at the global box office gross of $170million against a moderate budget of $70million.

As confirmed in a statement from the studio, Ric Roman Waugh will return with Butler as the director of the film - he directed the film's prequel Angel Has Fallen - which they hope to also develop into series. 

"We're hoping to do it in 2021," said Millenium Media. "We're working with Gerard Butler and Ric Roman Waugh on the specific dates. Our partners are very happy about it. We're also beginning to develop it as a TV series."

Night Has Fallen is expected to be a sequel to 2019's Angel Has Fallen, which gross $133million globally against a moderate budget of $40million. Robert Kamen, who was the screenwriter of the prequel is expected to return for the fourth entry.
