Filming Of Black Panther 2 To Start From Next Year
Marvel Studio reportedly will commence filming of the sequel of its famous superhero franchise Black Panther from July next year.
The film's prequel was highly successful at the box office crossing the billion-dollar benchmark with a global gross of over $1.3b. It also set a record for the highest-grossing film by a black director and it is the ninth highest-grossing film of all time.
Black Panther will not be having its lead actor Chadwick Boseman reprising his role as he has passed away following a long battle with bowel cancer. Meanwhile, other cast members are expected to return in the sequel according to Hollywood Reporters.
As the studio is understood to be planning to start filming the sequel, there have not been any indications of any plans to replace the demised actor, Chadwick, and has also reportedly confirmed that it will not use computer-generated imagery (CGI) to cast him in the sequel.
The shooting is expected to commence in Atlanta, Georgia, and will recast members like Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong'O, and Angela Bassett.
