Barcelona Forward Ansu Fati Ruled Out For Four Months

 


Barcelona has ruled out their teenage player Ansu Fati for four months following a knee injury sustained during the team's 5-2 home win against Real Betis over the weekend. 

Fati was yellowed carded for a rough tackle on Emerson lasted until halftime against Real Betis and was substituted with Lionel Messi, who scored twice for the side en route to the victory. 

The club confirmed in a statement that the forward has had a successful surgery by the club's specialist under their medical team's supervision on Monday and will be ruled out for "approximately four months."

"Ansu Fati has been operated on successfully by Dr Ramon Cugat...Under the supervision of the club's medical staff," said the club in a statement. 

The 18-year-old was fully promoted to the senior team this season by the club's manager Roman Koeman and has in 10 appearances scored five goals and made two assists.
