Europa League: Tottenham Win Opening Game Against LASK

Tottenham claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory over LASK in the UEFA Europa League opener that saw Japanese ace Son Heung-Min scoring the winner.

The side's newly-signed loanee Carlos Vinicius made his debut felt by making two vital assists that resulted in the opening goal and in sealing the victory late into the match.

Lucas Moura, who opened the scoring for Spurs received a through pass from the Brazilian and slot the ball home followed by the opponent's Andres Andrade, doubling the lead with an own goal by tapping in Gareth Bale's cross meant to pick out Vinicius in the box.

With six minutes left before the fulltime, Son completed the scoring with a header from Vinicius' cross after Doherty floated a cross over to him.

The 25-year-old former Benfica forward started the game in the place of Spurs' hitman Harry Kane and did work out well with Gareth Bale, who was also making his first starting lineup for the team since 2013.

Gareth rejoined White Hart Lane after spending seven seasons at Real Madrid where he later became an outcast and was not in Zinedine Zidane's game plan. The Welshman facilitated his return to the Premier League this summer after fallen out of favor with the Spaniards.
