Premier League: Man Utd Gulped Massive Loss To Tottenham
Manchester United had a terrible home defeat to Tottenham that came off multiple of floppy play from the team leading to humbling 6-1 at Old Trafford. Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min had Red Devils punched for defensive errors.
Shortly after United gained the lead from a penalty converted by Bruno Fernandes, the game complexion quickly changed following a defensive flop committed by heading the ball loosely for Tanguy Ndombele to struck home, and five minutes later, Son made a fast break from Harry's pass following a free-kick and doubled the lead.
United's hope of making a comeback was lost when Anthony Martial was red-carded leaving Spurs to outrun them by adding two more goals from Harry and Son - both were yet products of defensive collapse - before the halftime whistle.
At this time, Red Devils did not seem like a side that comeback against Spurs that progressed to had two more after the break with Serge Aurier scoring the fifth, and Harry scored a penalty drawn by Paul Pogba in the 79th minutes to seal the victory.
For the first time since 1957, Tottenham became the first side to score four goals against United before the halftime in a league game at Old Trafford. More so, it was United's heaviest league game defeat since 2011.
Harry and Son also become the first players to be involved in three goals against United in a league game at Old Trafford since 2011.
