Premier League: Leeds United End Aston Villa Unbeaten Run

Aston Villa's unbeaten run has come to a halt after a 3-0 home loss to Leeds United led by newly-promoted side's striker Patrick Bamford with a hat-trick.

Leeds has proven to be a viable team with an impressive start to the season by causing a 4-3 opening game scare for the defending Champions, Liverpool and Bamford scored the second goal for the team. Villa, on the other hand, had won four consecutive before losing their first league game on hosting Leeds.

Bamford first signaled off his will to make the most of the match when he missed a header in the first half and soon after the break, he shot wide a Jack Harrison's shot following a fast break.

Soon after the break, the England international, within 19 minutes wrapped up the victory for Leeds. After he lashed a loose ball into the net from Emiliano Martinez's save for his first goal, he doubled the lead with a shot from the edge of the box and completed a hat-trick after a one-two ball with Helder Costa.

Villa's setback began in the second half after they have had good chances in the first half enough for them to take the lead. Jack Grealish was even denied a penalty when he was tripped in the penalty.

Compared to Leed, Villa stood a better to have had the victory had they been sharper in the attack against their opponents that had two influential players - Liam Cooper and Kalvin Philips - ruled out of the game over an injury.
