Premier League: Everton Force Draw Against Liverpool
Everton forced a 2-2 home draw against Liverpool in a comeback that wiped off the Premier League champions' lead twice and denied them their first victory in three matches.
The hosts could have gone down in defeat to Liverpool following a stoppage-time finish by Jordan Henderson, but that was ruled out by the VAR for an offside position of Sadio Mane to produced the pass for Jordan to lash home.
Liverpool's unbeaten run ended in a massive 7-2 loss to Aston Villa after they lost the EFL Community Shield to Arsenal in penalties after they had played through the full-time in a goalless draw.
Sadio Mane gave Reds their opening goal within four minutes into the game before Michael Keane leveled the scoring for Everton with a header following a corner by James Rodriguez.
Liverpool reclaimed the lead with a superb left-footed shot by Mo Salah from inside the box, and Everon came back for the second for an equalizer with a cross by Digne that found Dominic Calvert-Lewin for a header that beat Adrian to the net.
Toffees have kept a clean sheet so far this season and have not conceded a game in all competition. The new signings amongst which James Rodriguez is has continued to pay off for the team that top on the table with 13 points.
