Offset Detained, Released Over Suspicion Of Firearm Possession

Rapper Offset was stopped and detained by the police while he was driving around Beverly Hill on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon in his vehicle.

The husband of a female rapper named Cardi B was streaming on Instagram Live when he was stopped and explained to the police that the crowds were following because he is a celebrity.

A female police officer who approached him asked him to put his hands off the wheel and come out of the vehicle as they have received information that someone was pointing out a weapon from his car.

"You just watched somebody beat my car up with a flag, what are you talking about? You told me to put my hands up. I'm not doing that," the Migo's rapper objected to coming out of his vehicle. "There's 25,000 people on my [Instagram] live. You're going to get sued publicly."

In the midst of the conversation between the rapper and the police, he was dragged out of the vehicle and taking onto the street where he was interrogated.

It was later confirmed by the authorities they were alerted by a passerby about someone who pointed a weapon at him from a vehicle. The information on the vehicle plate number given to them turned out to be the one Offset was driving him and for that reason, he was stopped.

According to a statement released by Beverly Hill Police Department, Offset was later allowed to leave the scene while his passenger by the name of Marcelo Almanzar, who happened to be Cardi B's cousin was arrested for possession of a loaded weapon and is held in custody on a $35,000 bond.
