Nottingham Forest Appoint Chris Hughton As New Manager


Chris Hughton has been appointed as the new head coach of Nottingham Forest to replace former manager Sabri Lamouchi following his dismissal on Tuesday. 

Lamouchi was ousted for losing 10 consecutive league games despite just signing a new contract with the club in June - He spent only 15 months at the club. 

Announcing the dismissal, the club said in a statement: "Nottingham Forest can confirm that the contract of head coach Sabri Lamouchi has been terminated with immediate effect."

Nottingham incoming manager, Chris, returned to football management over a year after he was sacked at Brighton - the club that he led from the EFL Championship to secure promotion to the Premier League and maintained in the league for two seasons.

The former Tottenham and QPR manager, 61, was voted the Premier League Manager of the Month in February 2018 and became the first black manager ever to have received the prize.
