Gal Gadot Teams Up With Patty Jenkins On Drama Cleopatra
Gal Gadot is back once again with the Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins but not for the sequel of the film but for a drama themed "Cleopatra".
The actress and Jenkins have just completed the sequel Wonder Woman 1984 and the film release date has undergone multiple changes due to the coronavirus pandemic, however, it is expected to make a theatrical release in the summer of 2021.
Being a big fan of the film won four Oscars for 20th Century Pictures in 1963, Gadot confessed the story is such that she long has coveted for a long time in an update on her Instagram.
"Cleopatra is a story I wanted to tell for a very long time," She announced replacing the legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor in the lead role. " Can't be more excited and grateful. I love embarking on new journeys, I love the excitement of new projects, the thrill of bringing new stories to life."
Paramount Pictures first will do pre-production of the film and then put up on auction for the highest bidder amongst Universal, Warner Bros. Apple, and Netflix according to Deadline Hollywood.
The Jewish actress' Wonder Woman was a blockbuster film at the box office and won the outstanding performance by a stunt ensemble in a motion picture at the 2018 Screen Actor Guild Award ceremony.
