French Open: Rafael Nadal Eases Through To Fourth Round
Rafael Nadal maintained a clean sheet at Garros Roland and eased past his opponent Stefanos Travaglia in straight sets 6-1 6-4 6-0 to advance to the fourth round.
Stefanos was no way in control through the sets - except in the second set when he was a bit of aggressive -against the Spaniard neither had a breakpoint advantage but rather conceded six breaks to the second top-seeded player on their first ATP tour meeting.
Speaking after the match, Nadal acknowledged the long break over coronavirus pandemic lockdown had a significant impact on him, however, he is being positive with the situation and it has paid off for him.
"We are in a very strange situation after a lot of months without playing," said the world number two. "I don't know if that is positive or negative, I take it as a very positive thing because I am playing quite well."
The Spaniard who is the event's all-time biggest champion with 13 titles will play in the next round an American opponent Sebastian Korda.
