French Open: Novak Djokovic Wins Stunning Five-Setter Against Tsitsipas To Reach Final
Top seed Novak Djokovic fought off strong resilient from Stefanos Tsitsipas and endured through a five-setter to make it through to his fifth final appearance at Garros Roland.
Djokovic was off to claiming a straight-set win but missed out a match pointing the decider and handed the Greek player a lifeline to rally and won the set but en route the nearly four hours long five-setter match by 6-3 6-2 5-7 4-6 6-2.
The match witnessed Djokovic claiming just eight out of 22 break advantages had against Stefanos who only won 4 out of 15 break advantages faced against the Serb.
"I'm not feeling exhausted physically so much after the match," said Djokovic who admitted the match as such a great battle. "I'm looking forward to a great battle with Rafa."
Rafael who raced past Diego Schwartzmann in three sets will face Djokovic on his record-equalling 20th Gram Slam title with Roger Federer - The Spaniard will be making his 13th final appearance on Court Philippe Chatrier.
