French Open: Novak Djokovic Set Up Semi-final Match Against Stefanos Tsitispas

Novak Djokovic fought back from losing a set to win the quarter-final against Pablo Carreno Busta and set up a semi-final match against Stefanos Tsitispas.

It seemed from the start like Djokovic was set to lose the match as he struggled to regain his fitness whilst Pablo seized the moment to gain a set lead - He was fatigued and sluggish having his 1st serve rating at 50 percent.

Despite having physical challenges, the top seed defiled that struggle and rallied to outclass the Spaniard in four sets 4-6, 6-2 6-3 6-4 during a match that lasted for over three hours.

"I don't want to sound like I'm complaining and obviously he was a better player for a set and half," Djokovic admitted his struggles with his fitness from the start of the round.

Playing against Djokovic was Pablo's second-time encounter since the US Open when the world number one was disqualified in the R16 for hitting the ball at the line judge.

Though the four-time finalist is bidding for his 18th Grand Slam, he is set to become the first-ever player to win twice all four Grand Slam events.

Now, a match away from the final for his second Garros Roland title, he will face Tsitsipas for the sixth time in a head-to-head series on his 10th semi-final appearance at the tournament.
