French Open: Novak Djokovic Enters Fourth Round
Novak Djokovic sealed his place in the fourth round in Garros Roland by easing past Daniel Elahi Galan and continued in his bid for his 18th Grand Slam title.
The top-seeded player had a clean sheet in the first set before the Colombian rose up to the challenge but had all his five breakpoint advantage saved by the Serb en route winning in straight sets by 6-0 6-3 6-2.
Both players played through an unfavorable weather condition that caused Galan to slid on the Court Philippe before the roof was closed. The Serb finished the match to improve33-1 this season.
Reacting to the situation that led to Galan tripping on the court, Djokovic, "If you have a roof, why not use it? I thought we lost quite a bit of time."
The world number who will be making his 11th appearance in the fourth round of Garros Roland Round will play South African opponent Karen Khachanov in the next match.
