Andy Murray Applauds Rafael Nadal On Winning 20th Grand Slam Title
Rafael Nadal is at another level in his career for having won his 20th Grand Slam title to equal the record set by Roger Federer for the feat. The Spaniard clinched leveled with the Federer at the French Open final on Sunday.
Andy Murray did not last at the French Open as he dropped out in the first round having lost to Stan Wawrinka, but for Nadal to reach that feat of 20 Grand Slam title is one thing he described as an "Amazing achievement."
There was no stopping of Nadal at Garros Roland neither could the tournament's top-seeded player Novak Djokovic in the final which he won in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. 7-5. The world number two did not drop a set throughout the event en route to his 13th Garros Roland title.
"It's incredible. I think it's one of the best records in sport, maybe the best," said Murray. "I don't think it will ever be repeated and I actually don't think will get close to it."
Nadal is the all-time biggest French Open title winner and has never lost in the final in all 13 appearances. Yesterday's final was different from the regular warm weather clay-court season, yet he defiled the odds faced from the blistering cold weather maintain his unbeaten run in the final.
