Wolves Sign Porto Younger To Club-Record Deal

 

Wolverhampton have broken their record-signing in a five-year deal worth £35.6million in the transfer of Porto youngster Fabio Silva on Saturday. 

Silva, who is only 17 years and 22 days upset the previous record set at the club by Raul Jimenez on his signing from Benfica for £30million in 2019. 

Wolves chairman Jeff Shi described the player as a youngster with an "incredible technical ability" and has great "intelligent" at the game despite his age. 

Jeff continued that the club has for a while been monitoring the Portuguese since he made his debut for his national team and that, "They feel he has always been the best number nine coming through his age group anywhere in Europe."
