Tottenham Resign Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale has returned to Premier League from Real Madrid in a season-long loan move Tottenham Hotspur after completing his medical.

Bale has been wanted out of the Spaniards' team last summer, he was later retained after the club could not secure a transfer for him. The striker's huge wage has been a concern for the club neither is he a favourite of Zidane.

Real signed the Walsh international to Real in a then-record signing of £85million which was a massive transfer for Spurs which he joined for an initial payment of £5million from Southampton in 2007.

"It's nice to be back," said Bale on returned to his old team after seven years. "It's such a special club for me where I made my name, what an amazing club with amazing fans."

However, it is understood Spurs will be contributing £20million in wages and loan fee towards the striker's annual salary of staggering £26million.

The 28-year-old is hopeful he could make a difference in the club by leading the team to win trophies like he did at Real Madrid where he won 13 silverware including four Champions League and two La Liga.

"Hopefully now I can get some match fitness, get underway and really help the team to win trophies," he continued. "I am hungry and motivated to do well for the team. I can't wait to get started."
