Tom Cruise To Film Mission Impossible In Orbit

Since the first human landing on the Moon perhaps, there have been films on space exploration like Star Trek Into Darkness, Interstellar, First Man, and many more. None of these films were actually filmed in the space. That is about to change as Tom Cruise is on the mission to do that the first time in the history of the industry.

Tom Cruise will be shooting part of his oncoming film, Mission Impossible, in the International Space Station and will be joined by a director Doug Liman on the adventure on SpaceX Crew Dragon rocket.

NASA official Jim Bridenstine had tweeted about the artist's adventure to the orbit back in May and explained that the step is necessary as an inspiration for the next generation of engineers and scientists.

"NASA is excited to work with @TomCruise on a film aboard the @Space_Station!" Jim wrote in the tweet. "We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make @NASA's ambitious plan a reality."

Well, speaking of making the project a reality, American tech mogul Elon Musk had talked about his plan to take up an ambitious project like filming in the space. By the way, he is the billionaire owner of SpaceX

Cruise's mission to the ISS for filming in the orbit is already in NASA's top objective as stated in its 2020-2023 ISS official manifest according to TMZ.
