The Rolling Stones Make History With 'Goats Head Soup' Reissue
The Rolling Stones' newly reissued album Goats Head Soup has earned the band the top spot of the Official UK Album Chart in the first week of its release.
Goats Head Soup original album made its debut in 1973 but its reissue which was released on September 4 notched the number spot for the band on the UK Chart having outsold Declan McKenna's Zeros by 800 album copies in combine sales.
Despite being the oldest performing band in the UK - each member of the band is over 60-year-old, the album's performance yet scored the band's 13th number album on the chart equaled the previous set by Elvis Persley and Robbie Willaims.
Though, Stones fell behind the Beatles in album chart-topper streak, they are the only band in history ever to have had #1 one album across six decades.
