LeBron James Leads L.A Lakers To First NBA Finals Appearance In 10 Years
Los Angeles snapped 10 years Western Conference title drought after passing Denver Nuggets in a 117-107 victory on Saturday night, improving 4-1 against their opponents in the best of seven to secure an NBA Finals appearance.
The progression made by the Lakers to the finals received a huge contribution from the team star player LeBron James posting up 38 points, 10 assists, and 16 rebounds for his 13th triple-double streak of the season.
Just as the team, James will be making his 10th NBA Finals appearance and his first-ever with the franchise he joined from Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018.
Speaking after the victory, James paid a tribute to the franchise's legend Kobe Bryant as he said, "Every time you put on the purple and gold you think about his legacy, you think about him and what he meant to his franchise for 20-plus years."
Anthony Davies followed in the scoring streak with 27 points, three assists, and five rebounds, and Jerami Grant led Nuggets with 20 points, nine rebounds with an assist followed by Nicolas Jovic with 20 points, five assists, and seven rebounds.
