Kylian Mbappe Wants To Leave PSG, Hands In Transfer Request

Kylian Mbappe has handed in a transfer request to leave Paris Saint Germain reportedly with the view joining either of these two Premier League giants, Liverpool or Manchester United.

Not long ago, the Ligue 1 champions resisted a £250million transfer plot for the striker from Real Madrid whose manager Zinedine Zidane had a special interest in the player. PSG eventually found a means to ward off the Spaniards by offering the player a new deal with bumper wages that is near that of Neymar Jr.

Though the striker's contract runs until 2022, Times reported that he alerted the club on his plan to leave just so they can source for a replacement and work out his transfer fee ahead of his exit.

The 2018 World Cup winner joined PSG from Monaco in a £165million which is the second-biggest transfer on record for a player after Neymar Jr. The club for the first time in their history made an appearance in the UEFA Champions League final which they lost to Bayern Munich by 1-0.

In January, Mbappe confessed his interest in Liverpool when he described them as an "amazing" team that has found they own rhythm and works like a "machine" considering their performance in their both in international and domestic competitions.

Mbappe first joined PSG as a loanee from Monaco and won the Ligue 1 title and Coupe de France with club in his debut season. After that, he went on to win six more silverware with the club including two Ligue 1 titles.
