Kanye West Slams Record Labels, Demands For His Masters

Kanye West has a serious accusation against two record labels he signed with and might not release any new albums unless those contracts he has with them have run out.

Though the father-of-four own G.O.O.D Music record label, he yet has contracts with Sony/ATV and Universal Music Publishing - these two are the labels that he has misgivings about their businesses following his tweets on Tuesday.

He complained in screenshots of text messages that he sent to one of his associates about unfair treatment meted out to African-Americans artists with the suspicion they have not been treated equally as their counterparts.

"I need to see everybody's contract at Universal and Sony. I'm not gonna watch my people be enslaved," he accused both labels in the text messages.

He added: "I'm putting my life on the line for my people. The music industry and the NBA are modern day slave ships. I'm the new Moses."

Besides coming out of the contracts on their expiration dates, he explained in another update on Twitter that it is desire to own his masters with the intentions of passing them over to his children as their inheritance.

Kanye West is currently worth $1.3billion according to Forbes and that wealth comes mostly from his famous Yeezy brand which he solely own. He recently signed partnership deal with GAP for a joint clothing line that will be available from next year.
