James Bond: Rumours Favour Tom Hardy As Daniel Craig's Successor

Daniel Craig will not be leaving behind a vacuum in the James Bonds franchise as speculations have it that Tom Hardy is set to be the new actor to star as the 007.

It is certain that Craig will not be reprising the role after the upcoming No Time To Die - this installment is technically a sendoff for the 007 character who once told TimeOut that he would rather slash his wrist than continue with the role.

Bookies seemed to be the premise of rumor peddlers' judgment of who will be the next 007 and it did favor the Venom star actor unlike actors like Idris Elba that has dismissed having an interest in the role after rumors claimed he is one of the contenders.

Mind you, even if Tom is nursing that dream deep down in his mind, he would rather follow his acting fraternity rule, which is opposed to peers admitting publicly what they really intended. Such desire has to be in denial he told Daily Beast.

"There's a saying amongst us in the fraternity of acting, and in the fellowship of my peer group, that if you talk about it you're automatically out of the race," said Tom.

Well, that sounds great. Nevertheless, he is not alone in the race even if the rumours are true as actors like Tom Hiddleston. James Norton and even former Manchester United star David Beckham have been mentioned as a favourite for the role.
