Health Scare Force The Batman Filming To Pause
Warner Bros. confirmed in a statement released by its spokesperson that the filming will not be continuing after Robert Pattinson was tested positive for coronavirus symptoms just days after the crew resumed at a location where the shooting was on-going.
"A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19," the spokesperson confirmed on Thursday. "And is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.
Robert is making his debut appearance in the franchise as Bruce Wayne after he was confirmed as the replacement for Ben Affleck who stepped from the role last year. The Twilight actor was given the role after Matt Reeves conducted an in-house mock screen for him and another contender Nicolas Hoult.
The film is scheduled to hit the cinemas next year on October 1, 2021 - a date that is later than previously intended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The killer bug also affected many other films to change their release dates since cinemas were forced to close due to the outbreak.
