FIA Will Not Investigate Lewis Hamilton For Anti-Racism Protest

Lewis Hamilton will not be investigated by FIA for wearing an anti-racism T-Shirt shortly after winning the Tuscan Grand Prix. Rather, the body is considering issuing new guidelines to team pilots regarding the matter.

The governing body is understood to have withdrawn the need to investigate the Mercedes driver over the protest which was in defense of the unlawful killing of an American named Breonna Taylor since Briton has not flaunted any rules.

A spokesperson of FIA on Monday confirmed the body would launch an investigation into the driver's conduct that could be deemed as political which the body does not represent. Having withdrawn the investigation, the body reportedly will be issuing new guidelines to drivers on what to wear before and after their activities on the grid.

Hamilton is coasting to claiming his seventh world championship title this season las he leads with 55 points clear the closest driver Valtteri Bottas (135 points). Having won his 90th career race at Mugello on Sunday, the six-time champion nears equaling Michael Schumacher's record set for the all-time biggest race wins.
