Everton Sign Napoli Star
Brazilian midfielder Allan has completed his transfer from Napoli to Everton in a three-year deal that is worth £22.3million which also includes £2.7million add-ons.
The Premier League side was not alone in the race to sign the player but edged out Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid to reunite Allan with Carlo Ancelloti who his former manager at Napoli.
"It is a real pleasure to sign for Everton," he told the club's online channel, Everton TV. "I hope like I have done in my entire career, I contribute with my performance together with my teammates."
Besides a reunion with Ancellotti, the move will be the 29-year-old's first Premier League experience after spending five years at the Italian side he joined from Udinese in 2015.
In Allan's spell at Napoli, he won with the team the Coppa Italian in the 2019/20 season before leaving the side with which he scored 11 goals in over 200 appearances in all competitions.
