Conor McGregor Arrested In French Island, Denies Allegations Of Sexual Assault

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has opened on his arrest for allegations of the sexual assault and indecent exposure that landed him in the custody of the police on Thursday.

Speaking of having issues with the authorities, McGregor is no stranger to that and has had a couple of issues amongst them was that which landed him in a serious court case for leading an attack on rival fighters during a press conference in Brooklyn back in 2018.

However, his representative vigorously argued against the accusations leveled against the fighter over an incident that happened at a bar in Corsica and was questioned by the police.

"Conor McGregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct," said the Irishman's rep. "He has been interviewed and released (from police custody)."

Prior to the arrest, the 32-year-old has been having a cruise on a yacht off the coast of Port of Calvi with his family - his son Jack Jr. and wife Dee Delvin. Meanwhile, the fighter later argued that the cruise of the French island was meant to raise awareness for water safety.

On the day of the UFC champion's arrest, he was scheduled to meet with one of the Princesses of Monaco but that could not hold and it was reportedly canceled due to the incident.
