Chelsea Defender Davide Zappacosta Join Genoa On Loan

Davide Zappacosta will continue his career outside Chelsea as he joins Italian side Genoa on loan for a full season after completing a loan spell at AS Roma. 

The left-back six-month move to Roma ruined by an interior ligament injury that left him rule out for most of the season before he returned to action at the later part of the season. He was only able to make nine league game appearances. 

Zappacosta's loan move to Genoa was also confirmed by Chelsea via its official Twitter account with a picture update that was captioned as, "Good luck in Serie A, Zappa."

In this transfer window, Chelsea have signed six players among which was former Leicester City Ben Chilwell for five year at the cost of £45million.

However, the 28-year-old was signed to the club for £22.5million from Torino in the summer of 2017 and had made 52 appearances for the club before he was set off for a loan move.
