Callum Wilson Joins Newcastle For £20M

Callum Wilson has left the EFL Championship side Bournemouth to join Newcastle United for a £20million deal of four-years.

Newcastle delightfully announced the signing of the striker via its official Twitter account accompanied by a picture update of the player holding the club shirt.

"It feels amazing. such a massive club," he told Sky Sports. "It wasn't an easy decision as Villa is back home for me but this club is huge and I want to get off to a flying start."

Bournemouth finished last season in the red with 34 points leading to their relegation from the Premier League alongside with Watford and Norwich City.

He will be the third player to leave the club since relegating after Nathan Ake and former goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. Nonetheless, his transfer fee is the third-highest that Newcastle paid for a player since 2019.
