Bundesliga: Bayern Munich Demolish Schalke On Season Opening Game

Bayern Munich launched the new season by claiming a huge and humiliating 8-0 victory against Schalke with Serge Gnarby scoring a hat-trick. The Bundesliga champions extended their unbeaten run to 22 games.

Former Manchester City star Leroy Sane kicked off his debut with his first goal and also completed three assists in the course of the game. The winger was signed for £44.5m this summer despite efforts to keep him at the former club.

The first half witnessed three goals from Gnarby, Leon Goretzka, and then from team's talisman Roberto Lewandowski who converted a penalty to seal it.

Sane scored his debut goal after Gnarby had added in two more goals and Thomas Muller had followed with the sixth goal in the second half. Jamal Musiala completed the scoring ten minutes after Sane's goal.

Gnarby's combination with Sane looked very sharp and deadly at the front against Schalke who could have conceded more goals than they did from the striker, Gnarby.

Bayern loses their midfielder, Thiago Alcantara, to Liverpool for £25million, still, there were indications they were lacking in any way and controlled the game brilliant through the playtime.
