Taylor Swift Holds Down #1 Spot On Artist 100 Chart For 40 Weeks

Taylor Swift is not an artist new to setting new feat in the music industry and in terms of holding on to the top spot of the Billboard Artist 100 chart, she has her name printed in the records for keeping the #1 spot the longest than any of her counterparts.

Folklore, newly-released album helped Swift retain the top spot for 40 weeks, mind you, the album has been number one of the Billboard Artist 100 chart for three weeks now. Never before has an artist stayed that long on the chart.

Swift has enjoyed massive album sales in her music career and her latest is yet another that has performed well in the market making a huge 846,000 album unit sales two weeks after its debut. Folklore notched the top spot of the Billboard 200 chart on debut with 136,000 equivalent album sales, according to Neilsen Music/MRC Data.

The 16-tracklist album was released on July 24 just a day after she hinted at the project on her social media update. Folklore will be her eighth studio project after  'Lover' in 2019 and its 846,000 unit sale is the biggest ever for an album in a single week.
