Lionel Messi Fax Barcelona He Wants To Leave
Apparently, it is beginning to look like the end of Barcelona spell for Lionel Messi following the news of his demand to leave the club at the end of the contract.
The Argentine has one season remaining in his contract with the Catalan side and it is understood he has made known to the club reportedly via fax that he wants out of the club for free this - he has a buy out clause of £636million.
Messi can now leave for free since the season ended in August as against traditional ending month of May over the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. But the striker is not amongst players the club intended to put on the transfer market this summer.
However, the six-time Ballon d'Or was frustrated over how the club lose La Liga title defense to Real Madrid that came from behind to lead the table for the trophy. Besides losing the league title, Barcelona suffered their worst defeat in history to Bayerb Munich in the Champions League semi-final en route the Germans' UCL trophy win.
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are the two clubs that have been linked to the Argentine for a transfer should he choose to leave the Spaniards.
Ronald Koeman just announced the players he plan to put on the market this season amongst which Luiz Suarez who is set to be replaced by Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez and the bidding for the Argentine is on-going.
