Juventus Appoint Andreas Pirlo To Replace Sarri Maurizio

Juventus have replaced exited Maurizio Sari with Andreas Pirlo just hours after the ousted manager was sacked for the club's early elimination from the Champions League.

Lyon ousted the Italian side from the Champions League in a 2-1 victory on Friday, and the club's management found the elimination as an objective not met by Sarri, necessitating his shock in his debut season on Saturday.

Pirlo who was Juve's Under 23 manager, was appointed as the new head coach in a two-year instead of other rumoured candidates such as Allegri Massimiliano, Zinedine Zidane, and former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino.

"Today's choice is based on the belief that Pirlo has what it takes to lead," the club said in a statement. "From his debut on the bench, an expert and talented squad to pursue new successes."

Sarri was appointed as the successor of Allegri Massimiliano after a season spell in the Premier League with Chelsea with which he won the UEFA Europa League.
