Inter Milan Sign Alexis Sanchez To Permanent Deal
Alexis Sanchez has finally settled in Inter Milan as a permanent deal of three-year deal has been signed by the forward, ending his loan spell from Manchester United.
The Chilean eventually left as a free agent and will earn as much as £300,000-a-week from his new contract which is significantly lesser than he was paid at United.
United had prioritized selling the 31-year-old anyway for not delivering despite earning £560,000-a-week as a striker. Though his move from Arsenal was well-hyped, his spell was frustrated with failing to perform and struggles with making appearances.
"They've liked him, so of course that's a good move for him. Which him all the best," said Ole Gunnar Solksjaer after United's 2-1 win against LASK. "He's a top player that we want to see play his best football. For whatever reason, we didn't see the best of Alexis."
Inter have qualified for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League, they beat Getafe 2-0 in the second leg of the Round of Last 16 on Wednesday with Romelu Lukaku and Christian Eriksen scoring both goals.
