Harry Styles' Watermelon Sugar Tops Billboard Chart

Harry Styles, for the first in his music career, takes the coveted #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with his hit song Watermelon Sugar. In the first week of the song's release, it debuted at #7 and after many weeks, climbed the ladder to claim the top spot. 

Until now, the best spot Styles has reached on the chart was number four and that was with 2017's Sign of the Time. Another of his songs that makes the Hot 100 chart was Adore You - released in December.

Styles was formerly a member of the British band One Direction and released his first single with Sign of the Time in 2017 after going solo from the group.

Since the band went solo, Styles followed his former band-mate Zayn as the second member to make Hot 100 appearance. Amongst the group, Zayn topped the chart first with Pillowtalk.
