Disney To Rebrand 20th Century Fox
20th Century Fox has been around for a long time, arguably one of the biggest filmmakers you can find in the film industry with a number of franchises own by its studios. The brand name as we know it will no longer be around as the new owners of the company, Walt Disney, have decided to rebrand the company.
Disney acquired the majority share of Fox assets after a $71billion deal was agreed on in 2018, handing over to them both the film and the media arms of the company except Fox Entertainment, Sport, and News.
Comcast also contended for the takeover but missed out on terms of takeover which they wanted to complete wholly in a cash payment.
In the rebranding intended to be made, Disney has decided to rename the company as 20th Television Studio. In effect, The traditional signature "Century" and "Fox" will not be seen on the company's logo any longer.
Confirming the name changing, Disney television studios president Craig Hunegs, in a statement, revealed that the changes are made in honor of Walt Disney Company's "creative power" which will usher in "a new day for ABC Signature, 20th Television, and Touchstone Television"
"Our new studio names and logos mark a new day for ABC Signature, 20th Television, and Touchstone Television while honouring their rich histories and the creative power of The Walt Disney Company," said Craig.
Up until the sale of the 85-year-old company, it was famous for franchises such as Fantastic 4, X-Men, Avatar, Deadpool, and Simpsons Movie.
