Chelsea Near Reaching Deal Agreement With Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz, Two Others
Chelsea edged closer to completing massive transfer overhaul of three players from top-flight clubs which includes Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz, Leicester's Ben Chilwell, and Thiago Silva of P.S.G.
Havertz stands to be Blues the third signings under Frank Lampard after Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, despite his £90million fee. Chelsea are keen on securing the midfielder's transfer and there have been rumoured they have already reached an agreement with the Germans.
With the signing of Hakim and Havertz, Chelsea will be able to replace Pedro and Willian both who left the club as free agents this summer to join AS Roma and Arsenal respectively.
However, the speculation that Chelsea had already agreed to a deal with the Bundesliga side has been dismissed by its sporting director Voller who described that as being false.
Doing a triple deal for the trio is reportedly expected to happen this week as talks are ongoing with Leicester for Chilwell, who confirmed both clubs are "almost there" speaking to Sky Sports.
Likewise, Thiago has already been tipped to leave PSG, and the side's Champions League final defeat to Bayern Munich on Sunday is expected to be his last appearance with the team.
Already, Blues have lavished £83million on the signing of Hakim and Timo, with the triple signings on the way, they will be on the spending spree running into hundreds of millions this summer.
