Champions League: Bayern Munich Set Up Final Against PSG
Bayern Munich claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory against Lyon to reach the Champions League final for the first time in seven-year with Serge Gnarby and Roberto Lewandoskwi leading the scoring.
Lyon did show some level of threat early into the game with Memphis Depay and Karl Toko Ekambi putting the Germans' defense to the test before they came crumbling down right from the first half of the game.
Gnarby opened the scoring with individual effort powering a left-footed shot from the edge of the 18-yard box and Anthony Lopez gifted away the second goal after poorly saving Lewandowski's tap in for Gnarby to smack home.
The French side attempted to narrow the lead after the halftime break, only Ekambi to waste a blatant scoring chance in the box alone with the Manuel Neuer who saved his shot. Neuer had also saved a threatening header from Marcelo as well.
Rather than concede a goal, Bayern sealed the victory with Lewandowski's header following a free-kick by Joshua Kimmich with two minutes remaining.
Philippe Coutinho also had a goal scored but was ruled out for offside position whilst Lewandowski extended his goal tally this season to 55 in all competitions.
The Bundesliga side will be making their eleventh appearance in the Champions League and will play Paris Saint Germain who are making their first appearance in the final. Bayern reached the final by winning 10 consecutive games which is the longest for team since 2015.
