Champions League: Bayern Munich Are Champions For Sixth Time

Bayern Munich have emerged as the champions of the Champions League for the first time in eight years having defeated Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the final match held at Estadio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal.

A brilliant header from Coman Kingsley delivered the victory for the Germans who won eleven consecutive games to clinch the title, which happened to be the longest winning streak in the UEFA Champions League history.

PSG had a couple of chances and had the upper at the early period of the first half before the game control gradually slipped off their reach culminating in Joshua Kimmich's cross found Coman for a header from a close range in the 59th minutes. That Coman's header was the decider.

The Germans had to take out a huge trophy contender, FC Barcelona, en route their campaign for sixth Champions League trophy in a humiliating 8-2 victory in the semi-final, that has now sent a massive shock wave down the club's hierarchy. The Spaniards have sacked and replaced their head coach, likewise their sporting director Eric Abidal after the defeat.
