Alexis Sanchez Gives Reason For Joining Inter Milan Permanently
Alexis Sanchez who had seemingly frustrating spell at Manchester United has broken silence on his move to Inter Milan in a permanent deal rather than returning to Old Trafford after completing his loan move.
United loaned the Chilean off to Inter last summer, on completion of his one-year loan, the Italian retained him in a three-year deal worth £300,000-a-week on Thursday.
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer after United's 2-1 win over LASK in the Europa League, described the forward as a top player who for some reason could not impress at United, but Chilean said in a clip posted by the Italians official social media account that he joined the Italians because they have "desire" to win a trophy.
"[Inter is] a group where there's a real desire to win something big. People here want to fight together as a team to give the club the success it deserves," he said.
Both Inter and United have reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League and have also sealed their place in the Champions League having finished in the top four of their respective league.
He explained further saying, "I'm hungry and I want to win - my goal is to make all our fans happy. I'm here to win, and I'm happy that I'm staying here at Inter!"
Sanchez managed to score five goals in 45 appearances at United in two season, meanwhile, that was different at Inter, he scored four goals in 30 appearances despite sustaining an injury in his one-year loan spell.
