Real Madrid Drop Transfer Fee For James Rodriguez
Real Madrid have dropped its transfer demand for James Rodriguez in an effort to sell the player amidst interest from a number of clubs in the Premier League.
Atletico Madrid was linked to the attacking midfielder for £45million last season but that price has now been dropped to its half, £22.5million in the quest to sell that player whose contract runs until next season when he will be allowed to leave as a free agent according to Marca.
Just as most European clubs, Real suffered significant financial hardship from the coronavirus lockdown and had agreed on pay-cut with their coaches and senior players before the restriction of domestic games was eased allowing games to be played under restriction safety protocols.
In the midst of this, Premier League big-wigs such as Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with the Colombian for his transfer this summer. Wolverhampton and Everton are also in the list of English clubs that have shown interest following the price drop.
