PSG Confirm Kylian Mbappe Sustained 'Ankle Sprain' On French Cup Final Victory


Paris Saint Germain emerged as the winners of the French Cup for a record-setting thirteenth time on Friday having defeated St-Etienne 1-0 with the winning goal coming from their star player Neymar Jr. 

Meanwhile, the team's striker Kylian Mbappe sustained an injury during the match that made him cry leaving the pitch as following a rough tackle from Etienne's defender Loic Perrin. 

The incident that led to a confrontation between the two teams and the red carding of Perrin, has been confirmed to a "serious ankle sprain" condition by PSG in a statement.

Mbappe is one of the highest-paid players in the team and the club who is keen of keep him rather than losing to a move to Real Madrid whose interest has subsided, "with ankle imaging analysis" are reportedly accessing the extent of the damage done to the player's ankle.
