Premier League: Liverpool Crowned Champions For First Time In 30 Years
After many years of league title drought, the jinx is finally broken and Liverpool can get their hands on the Premier League trophy for the first in three decades.
Reds wrapped up the season with a resounding 5-3 win over Chelsea at Anfield stadium, however, they have their final match against Newcastle United on Sunday. Whatever that turned out to be, it would not matter anyway.
Lifting the trophy finally happened after they had missed winning the title by just a point difference with Manchester City last season. In the same season, they won their first Champions League title for the first time since 2004/15 and added the EUFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup to the streak.
This season, there was no holding them back as the went a calendar year with losing a game and had the second-longest unbeaten league game streak after Arsenal 49 straight games in 2003-04 under former head coach Arsene Wenger.
