Nemanja Matic Signs New Two-Year Contract With Manchester United
Nemanja Matic has extended his contract with Manchester United for another two years which will retain him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2023.
Complimenting the defensive midfielder on his new contract, the club manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer praised the Serbian for the "professional and experience" that he brings in the team.
"Nemanja has been here for three seasons now and really understands the values of playing for Manchester United," said the Norwegian.
The former Chelsea player was signed to the club under former manager Jose Mourinho in a three-year contract of a fee in the region of £40 million in 2017.
"As a player, I still have a lot more to give and achieve in my career," said the 31-year-old. "To do that with Manchester will be a huge honour. This is a really exciting team to be part of."
