Manchester City Transfer Bid For Nathan Ake Accepted

Bournemouth have accepted a transfer bid of £41million from Manchester City for Nathan Ake as the central defender closes on his exit this summer from the relegated side.

Cherries were relegated from the Premier League season after finishing the season in the red line and have been demoted to the EFL championship but they will be cashing in on Nathan - he signed in club-record fee of £20m from Chelsea in 2017.

The Dutch player will be the second player City will be signing this summer after Villareal's Ferran Torres with whom they have agreed on a deal signing of £24.5million on Wednesday.

Torres was signed to fill the gap left off Leroy Sane's exit to join Bayern Munich while Nathan is necessary to replace Vincent Kompany, who is now a playing-manager at the Belgian side Anderlecht.

City challenged the two-season ban it was served from all European football over breaching the Financial Fair Play regulations by Uefa at the Court of Arbitration for Sport which later overturned the ban and also reduced the fine given by 2/3.

Lifting the ban will allow City to participate in the Champions League next season after they finished the season in second place behind Liverpool.
