Manchester City Reach Deal Agreement With Valencia Winger Ferran Torres
Manchester City have reached an agreement for a deal signing with Valencia youngster Ferran Torres as the winger is set for a move to the Premier League side this summer.
Torres is considered the right replacement for Leroy Sane who left the club to join Bayern Munich after they failed to convince him to give his consent to a new deal, otherwise, there would not have been a need for Valencia right-winger.
City's agreement with the Spaniards is understood to be on a fee of £24.5million plus add-ons for the 20-year-old, which the player's club really need just so they can raise capital to balance their book as they have before the Covid-19 pandemic being going through financial difficulties as claimed by Sky Sports.
"We have to be ready. We have less time than ever, so people will have to move fast," the winger was quoted as saying on City's official website. "We still have the Champions League, so we have to wait to move forward."
The Spaniard is a protege of the club's academy and has just a season remaining in his contract with the side that finished ninth in La Liga. Thus, they will not be participating in the Champions League neither Europa League - they dropped out of the Champions League this season after losing back-to-back to Atalanta in the Last 16.
Torres made his debut in the senior team as a sub in a 4-1 home victory against Real Zaragoza in 2017 and has since made 97 appearances with a record nine goals in all competitions.
