Leroy Sane Completes £54M Deal Signing With Bayern Munich

Leroy Sane has completed a deal signing of a five-year contract with Bayern Munich to seal his transfer from the Premier League side, Manchester City, on Friday.

The 24-year-old contract is worth £54.8 million and the Bundesliga side will be paying City £44.7m in upfront with ad-ons based on the team's performance and trophy-winning.

"FC Bayern is a great club with big goals - and these goals suit me as well," said the winger. "I'm looking forward to the new challenge and can't wait to train with the team."

Meanwhile, left to City manager Pep Guardiola, he would prefer to keep Sane who was instrumental to the club winning the Premier League title back-to-back (2017/18, 2018/19) but Sane was keen on leaving anyway.

Sane left City without making an appearance for City in their 2019/20 season campaign since suffered an ACL injury in City FA Community Shield against Liverpool in August.

"I know Hansi Flick from the U21 national team, we had a very good relationship there. I want to win as many trophies as possible with FC Bayern, and the Champions League is the top priority."

The former Schalke player was signed to City in a £37m transfer in 2016 and has netted 39 goals with 45 assists in 133 appearances in all competitions.
